Buffalo attack injures 4 in Dak Lak, animal tranquilized

A female buffalo that attacked four people in Ea Rốk commune, Đắk Lắk province, has been successfully subdued by local authorities. The incident, which occurred on the morning of June 2, saw the animal exhibit erratic behavior, leading to injuries among four residents and causing distress within the community.

Following the report, authorities collaborated with the Provincial Center for Elephant Conservation, Animal Rescue, and Forest Management, along with the Ea Súp Area 3 Defense Command. They developed a plan to safely contain the aggressive buffalo.

Specialized tranquilizer equipment was deployed by staff from the Provincial Center for Elephant Conservation, Animal Rescue, and Forest Management. The tranquilizer gun successfully subdued the distressed animal, which was then handed back to its owner.

The exact cause of the buffalo's unusual behavior is currently under investigation by relevant authorities. Of the four individuals hospitalized, three have since been released, with one still receiving medical care.
