Callao's Costa Verde Section to Close for Civic-Military Parade; Alternate Routes Provided

Drivers in Callao, Peru, must prepare for traffic disruptions as a section of the Costa Verde highway will close for a civic-military and school parade. The closures, announced by the Callao Regional Government, are scheduled for July 20 and 21 to accommodate the Fiestas Patrias celebrations.

On July 20, the highway section between Avenida Miguel Grau in Chucuito and the Avenida Santa Rosa access road will be closed from 8:00 a.m. The following day, July 21, restrictions will expand from midnight until 8:00 p.m., affecting the stretch from Avenida Miguel Grau to Avenida Haya de la Torre.

To manage traffic flow, alternative routes are established. Vehicles traveling from Lima to Callao or the Jorge Chávez International Airport should use Avenida Haya de la Torre and then Avenida Venezuela. Those heading from Callao to Lima will be diverted via Avenida Miguel Grau and Avenida Guardia Chalaca. Control points will be set up to guide drivers.
