The test cars share many design elements with the current VF 5, but notable differences include a longer rear spoiler and a revised lighting configuration.

A striking feature on the test vehicles is the use of larger wheels, similar to those found on the VF 6 model, hinting at a more upscale or sportier positioning for the updated electric city car. These design elements align with previously leaked industrial design patents filed by VinFast, further supporting the theory of an upcoming facelift for the VF 5.

Interior spy shots also suggest significant updates, with a glimpse of a sporty, flat-bottomed steering wheel and a larger central infotainment screen than the current VF 5 offers. Changes to the dashboard layout and seating design are also apparent. While the exact transmission type (manual or electronic parking brake) remains unconfirmed due to image quality, an electronic parking brake would be a notable upgrade for this segment.
