Car hits abandoned washing machine on avenue, woman hospitalized

An unusual traffic accident in Cordoba, Argentina, resulted in a woman being hospitalized with multiple injuries after her car collided with a washing machine left on a central median. The incident occurred early Sunday morning at the intersection of Avenida Colon and Nicolas Rodrigo Peña in the Alberdi neighborhood.

The Renault Logan, carrying a male driver and three passengers, was traveling along the avenue when it violently struck the abandoned washing machine. The impact caused significant damage to the vehicle and necessitated the intervention of emergency services.

Paramedics from the 107 emergency service arrived at the scene and attended to all occupants. One female passenger sustained multiple traumas and received initial treatment before being transported to the Hospital de Urgencias for further evaluation and care.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including how the washing machine came to be on the median strip and for how long it had been present. Forensic experts and police personnel were at the scene to gather evidence and reconstruct the sequence of events, which led to partial traffic disruptions.
