Car Rams Parked Motorcycles After Driver Swerves to Avoid Oncoming Bike

A car crashed into several parked motorcycles early Tuesday morning in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, after its driver attempted to avoid a motorcycle emerging from a junction. The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Jalan Santuari Utama. According to Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Zamzuri Mohd. Isa, a 22-year-old local man driving a Perodua Bezza lost control of his vehicle. He was traveling in the leftmost lane from Prima Setapak towards Wangsa Maju when he swerved to avoid a motorcycle that pulled out from a junction on his right. This evasive maneuver caused him to swerve off the road and collide with multiple motorcycles parked on the left shoulder. The driver of the car sustained no injuries. However, the identities of the owners of the damaged motorcycles are still being determined. Police are currently investigating the incident, which was captured on social media. Their investigation includes recording the statements of the car driver, obtaining CCTV footage from the scene, locating the motorcycle owners, and searching for independent witnesses. The case is being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could assist their investigation, urging anyone with details to contact the Tun H.S.
