CarrefourSA's new owner finalized after share transfer

The acquisition process for CarrefourSA has officially concluded, with Aydın Grup now owning 89.28% of the company's shares. All necessary legal procedures have been completed, marking a significant shift in the Turkish retail landscape.

Under the new ownership structure, CarrefourSA will operate independently alongside A101 within the Yeni Mağazacılık umbrella. Both entities will preserve their unique brand identities and continue their operations under separate management structures. This move aims to leverage the strengths of both brands while ensuring distinct market positioning.

Hatice Evren has been appointed as the new CEO of CarrefourSA. The company has outlined key objectives for the upcoming period, focusing on enhancing the overall customer experience, fostering stronger relationships with business partners, and boosting economic contributions. "Today we are opening a new page," stated Erhan Bostan, a member of Aydın Grup's board. "CarrefourSA's financial structure, which will be strengthened by our new investment, gives us the opportunity to take bolder steps."

Bostan further emphasized the commitment to improving the in-store experience for all customers and becoming a trusted partner for suppliers and collaborators. "We will carry this strength further across Turkey," he added, expressing a goal to reach consumers in every province and more locations, combining accessibility with quality. CarrefourSA currently operates 1,237 stores across 77 provinces, employing 9,599 people, and boasts a total sales area of 528,261 square meters.
