Casper Ruud completes Team Europe for Laver Cup, featuring Alcaraz

Norwegian tennis player Casper Ruud is the final addition to Team Europe for the 2026 Laver Cup, an annual tournament pitting Europe against the Rest of the World. The prestigious event is set to take place at London's O2 Arena from September 25 to 27.

This marks Ruud's sixth consecutive appearance in the Laver Cup since 2021. The world number 13 brings a record of two wins and three losses to the European team, which will be captained by Yannick Noah. Ruud will join a formidable lineup including Spanish talents Carlos Alcaraz and Rafa Jódar, Germany's Alexander Zverev, Italy's Flavio Cobolli, and Czech player Jakub Mensik.

Team Europe faces a strong Rest of the World squad. Their opponents will include Americans Learner Tien, Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz, and Tommy Paul, alongside Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik and Australia's Alex de Miñaur. The Rest of the World team will be captained by tennis legend Andre Agassi.

Since its inception in 2017 (with a break in 2020 due to the pandemic), Europe has dominated the Laver Cup, winning five editions. The Rest of the World team has secured three victories, with their most recent win occurring in San Francisco in 2025. The upcoming London event promises intense competition between the sport's elite.
