Cause of Tim Curry’s death revealed one week after his passing

Coronary artery disease caused the death of British actor Tim Curry, according to documents from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health cited by People magazine.

Curry died at his Los Angeles home on August 25, aged 80. His death came after years of health problems, but the cause had not been publicly disclosed until the documents identified coronary artery disease as the principal cause.

The report also noted that Curry had a history of kidney cancer and a stroke. It said he had not undergone surgery related to those conditions.

The actor’s health was seriously affected in 2012, when he suffered a cerebrovascular accident that required emergency medical care and left him with mobility problems. After that, he withdrew from many public activities and focused much of his work on voice projects, while retaining his trademark sense of humour.
