CBOS poll: Karol Nawrocki's ratings rise, Sejm's worsen

Public opinion in Poland shows a notable shift in institutional favor, with President Karol Nawrocki experiencing a surge in approval while the parliament faces increased criticism. A June poll by CBOS revealed that 51% of respondents now view the president's activities favorably, a 5-point increase from the previous survey. Conversely, negative assessments of his performance dropped by 3 points to 39%.

The Sejm, Poland's lower house of parliament, saw a significant decline in public confidence. Only 30% of respondents rated its work positively, a 3-point decrease, while negative assessments rose by 6 points to 55%. The Senate also experienced a dip in approval, with 41% rating its work negatively, an increase of 3 points, and only 33% viewing it positively.

In contrast, local government bodies, including city and municipal authorities, continue to enjoy strong public support. The latest survey indicates that 69% of respondents approve of their performance, a slight increase of 2 points, with only 21% holding a different opinion.

CBOS noted that the June survey reflects a "noticeable deterioration in assessments of the parliament, especially the Sejm, alongside an improvement in President Karol Nawrocki's ratings." The poll was conducted between June 11-21 among 991 adult Polish residents.
