Cedevita Olimpija Signs American Center Jayce Johnson

Basketball club Cedevita Olimpija has signed 28-year-old American center Jayce Johnson to a one-year deal, bolstering their presence under the basket. Standing at 2.13 meters tall, Johnson arrives in Ljubljana after a season in Turkey, where he averaged 9.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for Manisa.

Johnson began his college career at the University of Utah before finishing at Marquette University. His professional journey has taken him through Romania, Italy, the NBA G League, and most recently, Turkey. Adding to his credentials, Johnson has also played for the United States men's national basketball team, appearing in two qualifying games for the FIBA AmeriCup 2025, where he averaged 8.5 points and 10.0 rebounds. Cedevita Olimpija's Sporting Director, Chechu Mulero, expressed confidence in Johnson's impact, noting his physicality, rebounding ability, and rim protection.
