Celta Vigo Ends Preseason with 1-1 Draw Against Napoli

Celta Vigo wrapped up their preseason campaign with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Italian giants Napoli. The Spanish side showed resilience, overcoming an early setback and the dominance of their Champions League-level opponent.

Napoli started strongly, with Di Lorenzo opening the scoring in the 11th minute from a set-piece, highlighting a persistent weakness for Celta in defending dead-ball situations. The Italian team continued to create chances, testing Celta's goalkeeper Radu multiple times before halftime.

However, Celta found their footing in the second half. A significant defensive lapse by Napoli's Kevin De Bruyne, who lost possession near his own area, allowed Ferran Jutglà to score the equalizer in the 65th minute. Despite Celta growing more comfortable, Napoli still posed a threat, with Lorenzo Lucca missing several opportunities to reclaim the lead late in the game.

The match also marked the debut of new Senegalese center-back Abdoulaye Faye for Celta Vigo, as coach Claudio Giráldez tested his squad ahead of the upcoming season.
