Central American Games: Crismery Santana returns to the podium

Crismery Santana once again demonstrated her competitive prowess, securing two medals for the Dominican Republic in the over 86 kg weightlifting category at the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo.

Santana clinched the silver medal in the snatch event by successfully lifting 118 kilograms on her second attempt. She continued her strong performance in the clean and jerk, lifting 147 kilograms on her final try to earn the bronze medal, completing a successful day with two podium finishes.

The Dominican athlete's achievements were particularly significant as they occurred before a supportive home crowd. Her medals further boosted the Dominican delegation's total in weightlifting and reaffirmed her position as a prominent figure for the host nation.
