Chacho and Alessandra Rosaldo Find Meaning in Maturity

In a rehearsal space buzzing with meticulous preparation, Mexican artists Alessandra Rosaldo and Chacho Gaytán are fine-tuning their upcoming "Sin Límites" (Without Limits) tour. Far from the anxieties of youth, they approach their work with a newfound calm and enjoyment, embracing the gifts that maturity brings.

Gaytán describes this stage as a liberation from the uncertainty of the future that once preoccupied him. Rosaldo attributes this tranquility to nearly 34 years in the industry and the wisdom gained from being over 50. She feels a sense of freedom, having shed the pressure to constantly prove herself or compete. "When I turned 40, I felt this sensation of, 'I don't care what they think of me anymore,' like I took a weight off my shoulders," she shares. "Now that I'm turning 55, it's even more so, because shedding that gives you a freedom and lightness we didn't have before."

This artistic independence allows them to explore new creative avenues. "We are now owners of what we decide, what we sing, how we do it, etcetera," Gaytán notes, highlighting the current era of musical fusion. "We give ourselves the luxury of doing certain things that were once considered sacrilege."

The "Sin Límites" tour title encapsulates this philosophy, representing their ability to set their own creative boundaries and reconnect with their audience on their own terms. After a decade focused on larger ensemble shows, this solo venture signifies a return to their core artistic desires.
