Chania: Woman Reports Being Beaten by Partner and His Mother in Front of Children

A shocking incident of domestic violence has come to light in Chania, Greece, where a 39-year-old woman alleges she was brutally assaulted by her partner and his mother. The disturbing event reportedly unfolded in a hotel room in the Kamisianá area, with the couple's two young children present.

Hotel employees alerted authorities after hearing a commotion from the room. Upon entering, they found the woman with visible injuries to her face. She told police that the confrontation began when the partner's 54-year-old mother verbally abused her and then pulled her hair, striking her in the face. The assault escalated when her 31-year-old partner also punched her in the face, according to her statement.

The presence of the two children, a 9-year-old from a previous relationship and a 3-year-old with the current partner, adds a particularly distressing layer to the alleged abuse. All parties involved were taken to the domestic violence unit.
