China Airlines Pilot is Former Folk Singer, Flying Stars to Seattle Festival

The "Love Every Day" music festival is set to hold its 8th annual event in Seattle, marking its first foray into the United States. The festival, which has previously taken place in Toronto, is partnering with local Taiwanese music promoter Formosound for the August 29th event at Redmond Downtown Park.

Adding a unique touch to the journey, the festival's team will travel to Seattle aboard a China Airlines flight. The plane will be piloted by Liao Po-ching, who is also a former folk singer. Liao expressed his excitement, joking that the "gold-laden" festival team could practically start the concert mid-flight over the Pacific.

Performers are already in Taiwan for rehearsals, led by festival organizer Guo Heng-chi. Among the artists is Hsu Fu-kai, who recently completed a major concert and appears energetic. He is set to perform a duet of the classic Taiwanese song "Love Express Mail" with Wan Fang, a collaboration that has generated significant anticipation.

Adding to the excitement, Hsu and Wan Fang will also perform a choreographed dance to the song. Wan Fang playfully admitted her lack of dancing skills, while Hsu stepped in as a temporary dance instructor, guiding her through the steps. Their practice sessions have been filled with laughter, making their duet a highlight even before reaching Seattle.

Also present at rehearsals was singer-songwriter Enno Cheng, who performed with guitarist Arthur Shen, son of Huang Yun-ling. Shen's guitar playing impressed the members of the band Floating Flowers, who eagerly sought photos with Cheng afterward. Guo Heng-chi humorously expressed mock jealousy over his band members' admiration for Cheng, highlighting the good camaraderie among the musicians.
