China's Demand for Kyrgyz Fruit and Vegetables Remains Strong, Official Says

China's appetite for fruit and vegetable products from Kyrgyzstan remains robust, according to Urmat Takirov, the head of Kyrgyz Export. Speaking at the Kyrgyzstan-China Investment Forum, Takirov emphasized that China is actively seeking supplies of these agricultural goods, alongside other products.

Takirov further elaborated that stable supply chains have been established for niche agricultural items. He also pointed to the evolving global supply chain landscape, which is increasing the necessity for diversifying import sources. The Kyrgyz Export chief suggested that Chinese partners might also find demand for Kyrgyz-made products such as organic protein bars, beverages, and light industry goods, particularly those featuring national cultural motifs. He sees potential for establishing joint production ventures and promoting local Kyrgyz brands within the Chinese market.
