China's GCL Group eyes Zamfara solar deal to boost economy

Governor Lawal's strategic investment mission to China included a roundtable with GCL Group executives, a global conglomerate with extensive experience in both traditional and renewable energy projects. The company expressed keen interest in investing in large-scale solar energy in Zamfara, signaling confidence in the governor's pro-investment policies and the administration's commitment to fostering an enabling environment for foreign capital.

The partnership extends beyond mere energy generation, with GCL Group indicating a willingness to explore technology transfer, local content development, and capacity building for the state's workforce.
