China's most popular car to have European premiere at Sziget

Hungary will be the first European market to see the Geely E2, a popular electric car from China, with its premiere set for the Sziget Festival. Pre-orders for the vehicle are scheduled to open in August, and the first units are expected to arrive in Hungarian dealerships by September.

The Geely E2 boasts unique features for its small-car category, including rear-wheel drive and an independent multi-link rear suspension. Its front wheels can turn at a wide angle due to the absence of drive shafts, resulting in a tight turning radius of just 4.95 meters, making it highly maneuverable in urban settings. The car comes equipped with Geely's proprietary Flyme Auto infotainment system, operated via a 14.6-inch central touchscreen.

While detailed technical specifications, equipment, and pricing will be revealed at the Sziget Festival, preliminary information indicates that the 1.3-ton vehicle is powered by a 115-horsepower electric motor producing 150 Nm of torque. This setup allows for a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 11.5 seconds and a top speed of 130 km/h. The publication previously tested the car in China.
