Cifra Poll: Interior Minister Negro Has 64% Disapproval Rating

A recent survey by the consultancy Cifra reveals that a majority of ministers in President Yamandú Orsi's cabinet remain largely unknown to the Uruguayan public. Mariana Pomiés, director of Cifra, stated on Telemundo that the poll focused on government officials with higher public exposure in recent months.

The evaluation covered Interior Minister Carlos Negro, Health Minister Cristina Lustemberg, Economy Minister Gabriel Oddone, and Foreign Minister Mario Lubetkin. The survey, conducted between June 1 and June 17, found that Carlos Negro faces the highest disapproval, with 64% of respondents expressing dissatisfaction with his performance. Only 21% approve of his work, while 6% are neutral and 9% offered no opinion.

Among the other evaluated ministers, Cristina Lustemberg garnered a 39% approval rating, with 41% disapproving. Foreign Minister Mario Lubetkin received 38% approval and 23% disapproval. Economy Minister Gabriel Oddone's performance was approved by 35% of respondents, while 43% disapproved. The poll surveyed 800 individuals across the country with access to landline or mobile phones.
