Cilegon Immigration Opens Passport Services During Car Free Day

The Cilegon Immigration Office opened its doors during the Car Free Day (CFD) event in Cilegon City on Sunday, June 21, 2026, offering passport application services. This initiative, part of the "PASPORIA" (Happy Sunday Passport) program, provided a convenient alternative for residents to manage their passport needs on a public holiday.

The event took place in the area of the Immigration Office, which is situated along the CFD route. Beyond immigration services, attendees could also access free health examinations, a collaboration between the Immigration Office, the Cilegon Class IIA Penitentiary, and Cristal Optical. This integrated approach allowed the public to utilize multiple services in one location while enjoying their Sunday activities.

Head of the Cilegon Immigration Office, Aditya Triputranto, stated that holding services on a Sunday was a response to the high enthusiasm observed during previous CFD events. He aimed to offer more flexible timing for citizens who cannot process their passports on weekdays. "We see the very high enthusiasm of Cilegon residents every time CFD is held. Therefore, we proactively open our doors on this Sunday. So, people can exercise while processing their passports," Aditya said.

Aditya further explained that offering passport services in a public space is a way to broaden public access to immigration services. The health services, including basic health and eye examinations, were also available for those participating in CFD activities. Meanwhile, Head of Immigration Traffic Section, Donny Prasetyo Utomo, assured that all passport issuance stages, including document checks, photos, interviews, and biometric data collection, would still be conducted within the Immigration Office building to maintain service quality and data security. This ensures a conducive and comfortable process for applicants amidst the bustling CFD environment.
