Clandestine LP gas station seized in Tabasco, Mexico; one arrested

Mexican federal authorities have dismantled a clandestine liquefied petroleum (LP) gas station in the municipality of Balancán, Tabasco. The Attorney General's Office (FGR), through its Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor's Office (FECOR), executed a search warrant in two properties located in the El Triunfo community. During the operation, one person was arrested and a clandestine station, appearing to be an LP gas dispenser, was seized. Authorities also secured a five-thousand-liter storage tank containing approximately two thousand liters of a hydrocarbon-smelling liquid, a dispensing pump, and two card payment terminals. A second property yielded another clandestine station, a five-thousand-liter tank with about 1,500 liters of product, and a three-thousand-liter empty tank, along with a dispensing pump. The operation received support from the National Defense Secretariat and the National Guard for perimeter security. The seized assets, including the detained individual and the hydrocarbon, have been placed at the disposal of the federal public ministry, which is continuing the investigation into a crime related to hydrocarbons.
