Coalition Carries Out Proportionate Strikes on Houthi Military Targets in Yemen

The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen announced Saturday that it carried out proportionate military strikes against legitimate Houthi military targets in Hodeidah Governorate. This action was a direct response to the Houthi group's recent attack on commercial vessels navigating the Red Sea. Coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki condemned the Houthi attack as reckless and cowardly, highlighting it as part of a pattern of threats against vital international sea lanes. He emphasized that the operation strictly targeted military sites used by the Houthis to threaten shipping. Al-Maliki assured that the planned operational objectives were achieved in accordance with international humanitarian law. He further clarified that Hodeidah Port was not among the targets and that Yemeni ports, including Hodeidah, Ras Isa, and Salif, remain operational and accessible for commercial vessels carrying essential goods.
