President Zelensky's visit to the White House is slated for the same day as a memorial service for US Senator Lindsey Graham, who was a vocal supporter of Ukraine and passed away earlier this month. While Kyiv has not yet officially confirmed Zelensky's attendance at the service or the meeting with Trump, the official's statement indicates the meeting is planned.

This diplomatic engagement follows recent discussions between Zelensky and Trump's envoy, Steve Witkoff, and son-in-law Jared Kushner, aimed at restarting stalled peace negotiations. The talks have been hampered by the diversion of Washington's focus towards the Iran war. Notably, President Trump is also scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the same day.
