Cocaine, collectible bear seized in Saskatoon drug bust

Saskatoon police have charged two individuals following a drug trafficking investigation that resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of cocaine and a valuable collectible item.

Investigators executed a search warrant on Barrett Street, where they discovered 2,149 grams of cocaine, $5,371.95 in cash, and various drug packaging materials. The haul also included a Be@rbrick Grateful Dead Dancing Bear, a niche collectible valued at over $1,100.

A 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were taken into custody by the tactical support unit. They are collectively facing six charges related to the trafficking and possession of cocaine, as well as proceeds of crime, according to police.

The investigation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the city. The seizure of both illicit substances and high-value personal items underscores the diverse nature of assets involved in such criminal activities.
