Colour of Indonesia Festival Sparks Children's Creativity in Independence Spirit

Jakarta hosted the "Colour of Indonesia: Cita Anak Bangsa dalam Warna Kemerdekaan" festival on Saturday, August 1, 2026, celebrating National Children's Day and the upcoming 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The event, held at Habitat Park in SCBD, aimed to develop children's creativity and talents through various artistic and interactive activities.

The festival included drawing and painting competitions, art performances, and educational sessions, all designed to engage children, families, and schools. "Today is not just a drawing and painting competition. Today is a space for Indonesian children to express their dreams, hopes, spirit, and love for Indonesia through works of art," said Ali Nur Yasin, Director of PT Tempo Inti Media Impresario. He added that the festival serves as a platform for education, appreciation, collaboration, and inspiration.

The opening ceremony featured a collaborative painting session involving prominent figures, including Reda Manthovani, Junior Attorney General for Intelligence of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Ali Nur Yasin, Cahaya Manthovani, Managing Director of PT Navaswara Bhuwana Kencana, and Sulyani Fitri from MIND ID. This symbolic act underscored support for child creativity and the creation of inclusive spaces for expression.

Cahaya Manthovani highlighted the importance of art and culture in helping children understand their identity and build self-confidence. "Therefore, we continue to provide spaces so that Indonesian children can know, love, and revive the culture of their nation," she stated. The competition categories included drawing for ages 8-12 and painting for ages 13-16, with participants from general and disabled groups. A total of 29 finalists were selected from 103 participants across the Jabodetabek region.
