CONCACAF Nations League Group Stage Draw Details Revealed

The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) is gearing up for the draw that will determine the group stage matchups for its premier national team competition, the 2026/27 Nations League. This edition of the tournament is set to bring together all 41 member associations from the region.

Beyond crowning a regional champion, the CONCACAF Nations League 2026/27 will also function as a crucial pathway for qualification to the 2027 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The draw is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, starting at 6:00 p.m. Panama time, and will be broadcast live.

Panama, under the continued leadership of coach Thomas Christiansen, has secured a direct spot in the quarterfinals. As one of the four highest-ranked teams in League A, Panama bypasses the preliminary group stage. League A comprises 16 teams, with the 12 lower-ranked nations competing in a Swiss-system group stage in September-October. The top two teams from each group will join Panama, Canada, the United States, and Mexico in the quarterfinals, scheduled for November 2026 on a home-and-away basis.

The winners of the quarterfinals will advance to the CONCACAF Nations League Finals, which are slated to take place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles from March 25 to 28, 2027. League A includes teams such as Canada, Costa Rica, Curacao, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago, with Curacao, El Salvador, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic earning promotion from the previous edition. Leagues B and C will also feature centralized championships in March 2027, alongside a promotion and relegation system.
