Consumers warned to check food quality at Hibiscus Festival

Consumers attending the Hibiscus Festival have been urged to inspect food and other products carefully before making purchases and to keep their receipts as proof.

Council Chief Executive Seema Shandil said consumers have the right to safe, nutritious and quality food. Retailers and suppliers, she said, are responsible for ensuring that the products they sell meet those standards.
