Conte to coach Fenerbahçe if Safi wins presidency, reports say

Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Hakan Safi has reportedly secured an agreement with former Napoli manager Antonio Conte to become the club's head coach, should Safi win the upcoming extraordinary general election on June 6-7. The news comes as Safi continues his preparations, focusing on transfers and squad planning.

According to reports, Paolo Maldini, who met with Safi previously in Istanbul, also played a significant role in the discussions with Conte. Safi and Maldini reportedly met again during the Champions League final, where they discussed potential player transfers and the prospective appointment of Conte.

Conte, who recently departed from Napoli, has a notable coaching career in Italy. He began at Arezzo and has since managed Bari, Atalanta, Siena, Juventus, the Italian national team, Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Tottenham Hotspur. He signed with Napoli in the summer of 2024 and led them to a league title last season.

Aziz Yıldırım, another candidate for the Fenerbahçe presidency, is also actively engaged in transfer and coaching speculations. The club is awaiting the outcome of the election to determine its future leadership and strategic direction.
