Continuous grassroots service proves effective for MCA

The Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) has seen a significant boost in the recent Johor state election, attributing its success to sustained service at the grassroots level. Party President Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Wee Ka Siong stated that this approach has proven effective in winning over voters.

MCA successfully doubled its elected representatives from four to eight seats in this election, a marked improvement from 2022. Ka Siong emphasized that this outcome validates the party's commitment to sincere and persistent service to the people. He also noted an increase in the majority for incumbent assemblymen, indicating stronger voter backing.

The party secured victories in several seats previously lost by narrow margins, such as Tangkak, Jementah, Johor Jaya, and Layang-Layang, while retaining Yong Peng, Paloh, Bekok, and Pekan Nanas. This achievement provides MCA with renewed confidence and acknowledges the dedicated efforts of its candidates, grassroots machinery, and leadership.

Ka Siong urged both new and incumbent representatives to work diligently to repay voters' trust. He stressed the importance of serving the people with humility and dedication, ensuring no supporter is neglected.
