Fubon Guardians manager Goto Mitsutaka expressed satisfaction with rookie catcher Lu Po-Hua's performance, even after the team's loss to the CTBC Brothers. Lu Po-Hua was given the starting catcher position, pairing with foreign pitcher Abe Yudai, on the same day he was promoted to the main roster.

Despite being substituted in the fifth inning due to cramping, Lu Po-Hua garnered praise from Goto. The manager noted that the substitution was not performance-related but a precautionary measure. Meanwhile, pitcher Abe Yudai, who took the loss after allowing three runs in three innings, will be sent down to the minor league team for adjustments. Goto indicated that the coaching staff has not finalized the foreign player configuration for the remainder of the season and that Abe Yudai could be recalled if his condition improves.
