Rookie catcher Lu Po-hua is set to make his highly anticipated debut in the Chinese Professional Baseball League, starting for the Fubon Guardians on Wednesday. The young player was selected in the fifth round of the 2024 draft and has earned his call-up to the top team after a strong performance in the minor league.

Lu has impressed in 16 games in the second division this season, hitting .346 with three home runs. His promotion comes as the Guardians made several roster adjustments, sending five players down to the minor league.
