Crash survivor corrects police report: Young woman was driving overturned car

A participant in a serious car accident in Lithuania has come forward to correct inaccuracies in the initial police report, stating that a 20-year-old woman, not a man, was driving the vehicle. The incident occurred on a winding rural road in the Radviliškis district.

"Everything happened very quickly," the passenger recounted. "We were just driving through the villages, the road was winding. In a sharp turn, the girl couldn't make the turn." According to the witness, who was sitting in the back seat behind the driver, the car struck a post and rolled over two or three times before coming to a stop on its wheels.

After the rollover, the occupants exited the vehicle to assess their injuries. "Then we all got out to see what injuries we had, but I couldn't get out because my back hurt," the injured passenger stated. The police report indicated that the driver lost control of the Audi vehicle, veered off the road, and overturned. The driver and her four passengers were all transported to the hospital due to back pain.

Police confirmed that the accident happened around 6:45 AM on August 22nd on the first kilometer of the Grinkiškis–Skėmiai road. The initial police information had stated a male driver was involved, but the passenger's account clarifies it was a young woman who was unable to navigate a sharp bend in the road.
