Cristhian Ocampos scores twice as Ameliano defeat Luqueño

Cristhian Ocampos scored twice as Sportivo Ameliano beat Sportivo Luqueño 2-1 in Itauguá, securing three points in the ninth round of the 2026 Clausura tournament.

Ameliano controlled much of the opening period, linking up effectively and looking more threatening in possession. Luqueño created two dangerous chances through Iván Maggi and Marcelo Ojeda, but goalkeeper Ángel Sánchez kept the visitors from conceding.

Ocampos opened the scoring in the 34th minute after Luis Ayala, Raúl Cabral and Julio González recovered the ball and combined on the right. González then set up Ocampos, who finished from close range.

Ameliano doubled its advantage six minutes into the second half. Ayala crossed into the area, and Lucas Morales’ short clearance fell to Édgar Páez. His shot reached the goalmouth, where Ocampos finished again to make it 2-0.

Luqueño responded after Walter González entered the match and helped win a penalty. Giovanni Bogado converted from the spot in the 79th minute, but Ameliano held firm defensively and preserved the victory under coach Roberto Nanni.
