Croatia to become global hub for unmanned ground systems development

Croatia is poised to become a global center for developing unmanned ground systems, according to Gordan Pešić, CEO of Rheinmetall Unmanned Vehicles. The former Croatian company DOK-ING, now renamed, was acquired by the German defense industry giant Rheinmetall. This partnership offers the innovative Croatian firm significant growth potential.

Pešić emphasized that battlefield superiority will depend on how effectively military platforms are connected, not just their quantity. The acquisition by Rheinmetall, led by Armin Papperger, a respected figure in European business, also enhances Croatia's international business profile.

Rheinmetall Unmanned Vehicles brings substantial knowledge and experience in developing unmanned vehicles to the partnership. This collaboration follows a recent visit by Papperger to Zagreb, where the final agreement was concluded.
