Croatian basketball coach makes squad change for World Cup qualifiers

Croatian men's national basketball team coach Tomislav Mijatović has made a change to his roster ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Lovro Gnjidić has been called up to replace Krešimir Radovčić, who will not be joining the team for the August training camp and qualification games.

Mijatović explained that the decision regarding Radovčić was made after a joint assessment, stating, "After discussions with Krešimir Radovčić and a mutual evaluation, it was agreed that he would not join the national team in this cycle." He expressed confidence in Gnjidić, adding, "We have invited Lovro Gnjidić in his place, whom we believe will quickly integrate and meet the demands that await us, as he has shown in previous gatherings."

Following friendly matches in Hamburg, Croatia will face Latvia on August 27 and the Netherlands on August 30.
