Croatian footballer's goal secures 100kg of food for charity

Croatian striker Ante Budimir not only secured a crucial victory for Osasuna against Celta with his goal but also contributed to a heartwarming charity initiative. His 63rd-minute penalty, which sealed a 2-1 win for Osasuna, triggered a donation of 100 kilograms of frozen vegetables to the Navarrese Food Bank.

This donation is part of a season-long campaign called "Feed with a goal," a collaboration between the Osasuna Foundation and Verleal, a brand of Congelados de Navarra. For every goal scored by Osasuna's first team in the Spanish championship, Verleal donates 100 kilograms of frozen products. The food bank then distributes these products to those in need.

The initiative, which began on August 24th with Osasuna's 0-0 draw against Levante, aims to provide basic nutrition to vulnerable citizens. Osasuna President Luis Sabalza expressed pride in the campaign, highlighting its strong social commitment.
