Cucurella fulfills promise with Luis de la Fuente tattoo after World Cup win

Marc Cucurella has immortalized Spain's 2026 World Cup victory by getting a tattoo of national team coach Luis de la Fuente. The defender revealed the artwork on social media on July 28, fulfilling a widely discussed promise made during the tournament.

The design features De la Fuente holding the World Cup trophy, with the official 2026 World Cup logo in the background. Cucurella had pledged to get the tattoo only if Spain lifted the trophy. He shared photos and videos of the process with tattoo artist Ganga and content creator Ceciarmy, stating, "Promises are kept."

Cucurella was a vital part of the Spanish squad that secured their second World Cup title, defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final on July 19. He started at left-back and was considered one of the team's most important players throughout the competition.

This commitment was not unique, as fellow footballer Álex Baena had also promised to get a tattoo of the coach if Spain won. Baena has not yet shown if he has fulfilled his pledge. Meanwhile, Ceciarmy has announced a new challenge: if Spain wins the 2030 World Cup, Cucurella will undertake a new dare proposed by the most popular comment on X.
