Customs Approves Special Treatment Permit for PT Doocheon Automotive Indonesia

The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kanwil) Jakarta has granted a special treatment permit to PT Doocheon Automotive Indonesia, a company operating within a bonded zone. This facility is designed to streamline operations and boost the efficiency of the company's logistics, particularly for handling goods with large volumes and special dimensions.

The approval came after PT Doocheon Automotive Indonesia presented its business processes to Kanwil Customs and Excise Jakarta. The company highlighted that its existing warehouse capacity was insufficient to accommodate the operational needs for unloading, loading, and storing large-volume items. Consequently, the company sought flexibility in managing these goods under customs supervision, utilizing prepared open areas.

Dorothea Sigit Lestarningtyas, Head of the Customs and Excise Facilities Division at Kanwil Customs and Excise Jakarta, stated that the permit was issued after the company fulfilled all stipulated requirements, including aspects of goods supervision and control. "Customs and Excise has evaluated the company's readiness and ensured that the proposed open area meets customs supervision regulations. With these requirements met, the special treatment permit can be granted to support the smooth running of the company's business activities," Dorothea said.

She added that this policy demonstrates Customs and Excise's support for businesses while ensuring regulatory compliance. The permit is expected to accelerate the flow of goods, optimize the use of available space, and support the company's production processes. Kanwil Customs and Excise Jakarta hopes this initiative will strengthen synergy between the government and businesses, fostering a conducive investment climate, enhancing national industrial competitiveness, and driving sustainable economic growth.
