Cyber University Student Develops API Gateway for Jakarta Futures Exchange

Ignatius Lucky, a student from Cyber University's Information Systems and Technology program, has developed a strategic API Gateway for the Jakarta Futures Exchange (BBJ). This industrial-scale project was completed as part of his Company Learning Program (CLP) 3+1, where students intern for one year after three years of study.

Assigned to the IT Development division, Lucky was tasked with handling a system requiring high reliability and security. He designed a communication technology using the FIX Protocol and the .NET framework. This system is crucial as it serves as the standard for electronic communication in global trading transactions, processing real-time data.

"Interning at the Jakarta Futures Exchange gave me a very broad perspective," Lucky stated. "I didn't just write code; I also learned firsthand how to build a reliable system to process trading data traffic." He emphasized that his university theories provided a strong foundation for solving technical challenges in the field, shaping him into a professional ready for the dynamic industry ecosystem.

Neneng Rachmalia Feta, Head of the STI Cyber University program, expressed pride in Lucky's achievement. "Lucky's success proves our curriculum is highly relevant to current industry needs. Through the CLP 3+1 program, we remain committed to producing competent and adaptive graduates," Feta said. She added that this aligns with Cyber University's vision of shaping digital future leaders and bridging students with partner companies for the competitive digital industry.
