Cyclist, 19, dies following hit-and-run in Co Meath

A 19-year-old man has died following a hit-and-run incident in Co Meath. The collision, which involved a van and a bicycle, took place at Nugentstown, Kells, at approximately 8:05pm on Tuesday evening.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was subsequently transported to the mortuary at Our Lady's Hospital in Navan for a post-mortem examination. The coroner has been notified.

The road where the collision occurred remains closed, with local diversions in place. Gardaí, the Irish police force, are actively seeking any witnesses to the incident.

Authorities are particularly interested in individuals who may have been traveling in the Nugentstown, Kells area between 7:30pm and 8:30pm and who might possess camera footage, including dash cam or mobile phone recordings.
