Czarzasty wants to unite the left, points to Together Party

Włodzimierz Czarzasty, the leader of Poland's New Left party and Marshal of the Sejm, is advocating for a consolidated approach to the upcoming elections, expressing a strong desire to unite various left-wing factions.

The greatest strength of the left will be when it goes to the elections consolidated.

Czarzasty specifically indicated his aspiration for a pre-election coalition that would include the Together party (Partia Razem). "My dream is the consolidation of the left, when it comes to elections, meaning going together with the Together party, with Professor Joanna Senyszyn," he stated during a briefing in Olsztyn. He believes that individuals with similar viewpoints should collaborate to appeal to voters who share their perspectives.

However, Czarzasty acknowledged potential reservations from the Together party regarding such a union. He voiced surprise at how Together party parliamentarians voted on issues concerning the immunity of Sławomir Mentzen and the approval of detention for Zbigniew Ziobra. Czarzasty criticized what he described as an "alliance" between the Together party, Confederation, and Law and Justice (PiS), an alliance he stated New Left would not enter.

Czarzasty also highlighted New Left's fulfilled campaign promises and achievements, such as the introduction of widow's pensions, construction of rental housing, the "Active Parent" and in vitro programs, and reforms to the State Labour Inspectorate. He contrasted these accomplishments with what he characterized as the lack of delivery from Adrian Zandberg's faction within the Together party, inviting Zandberg to engage in constructive action rather than just criticism.
