Danantara Housing Expo 2026: BRI Leads Banks in Boosting Housing Finance

The Danantara Housing Expo 2026 is set to take place from August 27 to 30 at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) in Pantai Indah Kapuk, Jakarta. This event serves as a significant initiative to bolster the government's "3 Million Houses" program, aiming to broaden access to homeownership for the Indonesian populace.

The expo will bring together Danantara, the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), property developers, and supporting industry players within a unified ecosystem. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, has been entrusted with the role of coordinating the event and leading the Himbara contingent. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a wide array of housing options, receive consultations on financing schemes, and apply for mortgages all in one location.

More than 200,000 housing units from various state-owned and private developers, partners of Himbara banks across Indonesia, will be showcased. The offerings cater to both low-income communities (MBR) and non-MBR segments. Various financing schemes will be available, including BRI's mortgage offerings featuring down payments starting from 1%, fixed interest rates from 2.75%, tenors up to 30 years, and installments beginning at Rp1 million, along with potential waivers on provision and administration fees.

BRI President Director Hery Gunardi expressed his support for the expo, viewing it as crucial for expanding homeownership opportunities. He believes the event will foster synergy among stakeholders to strengthen the ecosystem for affordable housing. "Through the Danantara Housing Expo, we hope more Indonesian families can own decent housing. As residential areas develop, we believe there will be a multiplier effect that drives the local economy and opens opportunities for MSME entrepreneurs to grow," Hery stated.
