Danantara Trust Donates Rp 250 Billion to Indonesian Ministry of Health for Vaccines and Stunting Prevention

Danantara Indonesia Trust has provided a significant donation of Rp 250 billion (approximately $15.6 million USD) to the Indonesian Ministry of Health. The funds are earmarked for crucial health initiatives across the archipelago.

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin announced that the donation will be used for the procurement of Hexavalent vaccines, essential logistics for immunization programs, and the distribution of Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) to pregnant women and children. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to prevent stunting, a condition characterized by impaired growth and development in children.

He expressed hope that such philanthropic contributions would inspire other foundations to support the health sector, noting that while religious philanthropy is the largest globally, education and health sectors also require significant backing.
