Death of 72-year-old found in car in Nea Liosia ruled a criminal act

The death of a 72-year-old man found inside a car in Nea Liosia, Greece, is being treated as a criminal act, according to authorities. The man's body was discovered on Saturday evening on Konstantinou Tsiklitira Street.

Initial assessments by the forensic examiner at the scene indicate that the victim died from a blow with a blunt object. Investigators believe the man was struck with either a crowbar or a rock. The forensic examiner also estimated that the man had been dead for several hours before his body was found in the back seat of the vehicle.

Police quickly cordoned off the area surrounding the car and launched an investigation. The Western Attica Security division has taken charge of the preliminary inquiry. The body is set to be transferred to the forensic service for further examinations to determine the exact cause of death.
