Defender Marc Enoumbá questions his expulsion in draw

Blooming defender Marc Enoumbá voiced his strong displeasure following his expulsion in the team's 1-1 draw against Guabirá. The player described the direct red card, issued after a VAR review for a handball incident, as "unheard of here or in China."

Enoumbá stated he was both surprised and frustrated by the decision of referee Jordy Alemán. He felt the team was playing a correct match until the incident. While acknowledging the ball might have been a penalty, he argued it was a fortuitous play and that the ball did not change direction after hitting his hand.

The VAR review led the referee to award a penalty to Guabirá. Blooming players immediately contested the call, believing Enoumbá had no intention of handling the ball. The situation escalated when Alemán then showed Enoumbá a direct red card.

"The referee told me it was a dangerous play for a goal, and I told him the ball didn't change direction; rather, I ended up setting it up for Abrego to finish, and he missed," Enoumbá explained. He lamented that the expulsion left Blooming with one less player for a significant portion of the match, ultimately hindering their chances of securing points.

"These are things beyond our control, and today it hurt us, it took away our chance to get points and keep fighting," Enoumbá said. He emphasized that beyond the penalty, the red card prevented Blooming from competing on equal terms until the end of the game.
