Denizli farmers get fuel support from the metropolitan municipality

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality is continuing a fuel support programme designed to keep agricultural production going and ease one of farmers’ biggest costs.

The municipality has already delivered diesel support cards to producers in several districts, including Beyağaç, Çameli, Bekilli, Baklan, Sarayköy, Kale, Serinhisar, Buldan, Tavas, Çal, Babadağ, Çardak and Bozkurt. The Rural Services Department is coordinating the three-week distribution schedule.

The final phase began with deliveries in Çivril, Acıpayam, Honaz and Güney. The programme will conclude on Sept. 4 with a final distribution ceremony in Merkezefendi and Pamukkale. The municipality said all eligible producers across Denizli will receive their cards once the schedule is complete.

The final week’s allocations include 94,040 litres for 1,311 producers in Çivril, 55,340 litres for 776 producers in Acıpayam, 57,190 litres for 912 producers in Honaz, 49,890 litres for 677 producers in Güney, and 48,610 litres for 707 producers in Merkezefendi and Pamukkale.

Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu said the municipality viewed protecting farmers’ work as a core duty. “We cannot allow rising diesel and input costs to crush our fellow citizens who work the land,” he said. Beneficiaries can use the cards in one transaction or in instalments until Nov. 13, 2026.
