Denizli Municipality Distributes 10 Million Lira Aid for Kurban Bayramı

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality continues its commitment to supporting vulnerable citizens, extending its assistance beyond the recent Ramazan Bayramı to the Kurban Bayramı. Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu emphasized the municipality's dedication to ensuring no household experiences a lack of festive joy, particularly during these important religious holidays. This year's Kurban Bayramı saw a significant financial injection of approximately 10 million Turkish Lira aimed at alleviating economic pressures on struggling families.

The "Horoz Kart" program, a cornerstone of the municipality's social support efforts, facilitated the distribution of a 2,000 TL meat allowance to cardholders. This initiative is designed not only to help families afford essential holiday meals but also to share in the communal spirit of the festival. Mayor Çavuşoğlu reiterated the municipality's vision of building a Denizli where no one feels alone or helpless, highlighting the importance of solidarity during challenging economic times.

Cumulatively, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality's efforts over both the Ramazan and Kurban Bayramı holidays have amounted to substantial aid, totaling around 42.25 million Turkish Lira. This figure includes previous distributions of Ramazan Bayramı bonuses and other social assistance. Such consistent and significant support demonstrates a strong focus on social welfare and a proactive approach to addressing the needs of the community, especially for pensioners and low-income households, ensuring they can partake in the celebrations with dignity.
