Denmark's Weather: Warm Days Ahead, But Expect Rain Showers Too

Denmark is set for a week of fluctuating weather, with summer-like temperatures expected alongside intermittent rain. Meteorologist Klaus Larsen from the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) forecasts a mix of sunshine and showers, with winds also picking up.

There comes rain, but it will also be some quite warm days. And then it will be a more windy week than we are used to.

Monday will start cloudy but clear up to offer considerable sunshine, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 26 degrees Celsius. However, northern Jutland may not exceed 20 degrees. Tuesday is expected to see warmer air move in, bringing more clouds, rain, and potential thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. Despite the showers, there will be periods of sunshine, and temperatures could reach 23-28 degrees, potentially hitting 30 degrees in the south. Winds will be moderate from the east and south.

Midweek, Wednesday will continue the warm trend with temperatures between 23-28 degrees and moderate winds from the southwest. While sunshine is expected, the chance of showers remains, though fewer than on Tuesday. By Thursday, cooler air will approach Denmark, leading to reduced sunshine and an increase in rain and showers. Temperatures will drop to 18-24 degrees Celsius, with the west experiencing more rain. The week concludes with a cloudy Friday, offering intermittent sun and light drizzles, with temperatures between 15-20 degrees Celsius. Winds will remain moderate from the west.
