Depend on Holy Spirit, not man, Archbishop Duncan-Williams urges Christians

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, founder of Action Chapel International, has advised Christians to place their ultimate trust in the Holy Spirit rather than human beings when facing life's difficulties. He asserted that divine empowerment through the Holy Spirit equips believers with the necessary wisdom, direction, and strength to achieve success in all aspects of life.

Speaking at the Global Prayer Works Summit in Accra, Duncan-Williams highlighted that the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit offers understanding that surpasses human intellect, enabling individuals to fulfill divine purposes and attain remarkable outcomes. The three-day summit convened hundreds of worshippers for a program of worship, scriptural instruction, strategic prayer, and prophetic ministry, all designed to fortify faith and prepare attendees to achieve spiritual victories.

Drawing parallels with the biblical prophet Daniel, the Archbishop noted that Daniel's distinction stemmed from the Spirit of God working within him. He further cited figures like Joshua and the three Hebrew men as examples of individuals who excelled through their dependence on God's Spirit. Duncan-Williams explained that Daniel's "excellent spirit" garnered him favor with rulers, serving as a testament that believers cultivating a close relationship with the Holy Spirit will stand out in their careers, leadership positions, and other endeavors.

He also urged believers to remain attuned to the Holy Spirit's guidance, describing it as the Christian's greatest asset for fulfilling God's will and navigating life's complexities.

Eastwood Anaba, founder of Eastwood Anaba Ministries, also addressed the summit, challenging Christians, especially the youth, to integrate science and technology as vital tools for advancing God's kingdom and contributing to national development. He argued that faith should not be confined to spiritual matters alone but should extend to pursuing excellence in scientific knowledge and innovation. Rev. Anaba encouraged young people to pursue STEM fields, recognizing their role in shaping the future and addressing societal challenges. He referenced Daniel again, portraying him as a man filled with the Spirit who also excelled in wisdom, knowledge, and science, demonstrating the compatibility of faith and intellectual achievement.
