Greece is grappling with devastating wildfires, facing multiple fire fronts and escalating losses after a week of intense blazes. The dangerous conditions, exacerbated by strong winds, have hampered aerial firefighting efforts due to extreme turbulence. Despite a slight decrease in wind speed on Saturday evening, the fire risk remained near maximum in several areas, including the Athens agglomeration, Boeotia, and the island of Evia on Sunday.
